I consider this one of my favorite artifacts. It belonged to a friend of mine who picked it up at a knickknack store. He bought this because it went well with the look he was trying to achieve in his home. He had a lot of religious symbols and such, but was himself a non-believer. None of that bothered me, seeing religious icons as decoration is not something I feel compelled to correct. When it came time for my friend to sell his home, the religious artifacts no longer suited his decorative needs. So I rescued this crucifix from the outgoing pile because it mattered to me. Makes me feel kind of special. -YoPedro
