Now this is a cool tool. It has seen a lot of use in its day, as is bore witness on the head and handle of this beast. Ok, maybe it's not a beast, it's not even all that tough looking. It is just a simple Ball Peen Hammer, which is used for peening balls (golf, basket, base)? No it’s nothing so silly as that. Ball Peen Hammers are used in by machinists, metalsmiths, and just about any trade that needs a good solid whack. The small ball at one end of the hammer allows the use to focus the energy of the strike to a much more concentrated area, and still get all the weight and force of the hammer. You can use it to shape metal, or slow down annoying acquaintances. Just kidding, I wanted to see if you were paying attention. That joke could go bad in so many ways, I'll leave it there. -YoPedro
