There's such an air of expectant innocence about this image ... a hint of looking back to our own days of waiting for Daddy to come home ... or Santa to arrive. Whatever ... I'm sure we all can connect. I especially like the tonal values you've used ... they add to the sense of the long-ago. If we're lucky and we get to grow older, we'll be doing it all over again ... sitting by the window, waiting for a loved one ...
