This is my second Bit Brace that I have in my collection, and it's just as antiquated as the other one, but then why wouldn't it be? If you have never used one of these beasts, you aren't missing much. It's called a "Bit Brace" and it is use to drill holes, or auger. It takes a bit of skill to get this monster to work, and it's not for the easily discouraged. The coordination to keep the handle and the bit aligned is a test of one's ability to not curse while you work. Once you get it going, it can work quite well, but trust me, an electric drill is the way to go especially if you have a lot of holes to do. -YoPedro
My latest images here on FAA/PIX are primarily A.I. based with a dose of manipulation tossed in. The images are not photographs, the people are not real nor are any of the stories attached to the images. It's all a craftsman's manufactured world of images and tales, of people I have never met, places I have never been, and things I have never seen or done. It's all an illusion, what I like to call 'Pixel Farming'.
