This old Kenmore heater was something to see, almost a spaceship design, or a hint of art deco. It's more utilitarian than anything else. It belonged to my grandfather, and had been sitting on a back shelf in the garage for ages. One of those items you forget about after a time. I was cleaning up the shelf when I saw it, and thought it was too cool not to photograph.

I just like the way it looked, with the fan blades behind the grill, and the feet peeking out from under the case. The technique I used to photograph this was light painting. I take a series of images using hand heal lighting (flashlight) and paint in the detail where I want it. It's long and tedious, and takes a lot of patience to complete, but in the end you have a very unique and well-lit image. -YoPedro
