Anyone who has ever had a comfortable pair of cotton jean knows how attached you can get to an old pair of pants like these. They don't last forever, but while they are still around, it's good to know they are there. None of that applies here. This was a test shoot for a new lens and macro tube setup for my Hasselblad camera. I needed to get used to the combination for an upcoming job, and this was part of the testing we did for lighting and composition for a client.
The jeans look very comforting and touchable, enough that you think you know how they will feel if you could touch them. It's quite the challenge to make a pair of jeans look soft and not stiff. The trick was to keep the billowing wrinkles, and not have them over starched and pressed. -YoPedro
